Service Engineer

We’re looking for a Service Engineer to support the maintenance and servicing of our Lely Astronaut automated milking systems. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a desire to support farmers with the latest advancements in on-farm technology.
We are looking for engineers to cover the South of our region, spanning from Somerset, Dorset and parts of Wiltshire.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience, and/or a relevant qualification in service, mechanical or electrical engineering
- Work on an on-call rota with overtime
- Have a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Have a willingness to undertake extensive travel within your given area at times
- Be using a laptop on a daily basis so computer literacy is a must
- Be a problem solver as you will need to analyse the situation and identify problems
- Have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues
- Participate in continual training to develop and improve your skills
- Be self-motivated, well organised and able to work and communicate effectively within a team as well as individually
