What is your role?

A milking robot is not performing as expected. The farmer notices unusual behaviour, the service technician cannot identify the cause, and the issue is escalated. You join remotely, analyse how the system is behaving, ask the right questions, and support the field teams step by step towards a resolution. While local teams may solve individual incidents, the problem keeps returning. You recognise the pattern, connect the dots, and help determine what needs to change structurally.

In this role, you are the go-to expert for complex technical escalations within our global service organisation. You support colleagues in understanding and resolving technical issues, but your focus goes beyond resolving individual incidents. You analyse system behaviour, identify root causes, and translate findings into sustainable improvements.

You operate at the intersection of software, product development and experiences from the field. Working closely with stakeholders such as Product Development teams and our regional offices around the world, you turn insights into actionable improvements. In doing so, you help ensure that our systems not only perform today but continue to improve for the future.

What makes this role unique is the combination of in-depth system analysis, direct impact in the field, and the opportunity to influence structural improvements on a global scale.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide support to international colleagues with complex technical escalations, primarily through remote assistance.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support urgent situations worldwide.
  • Analyse system behaviour and incidents to identify underlying root causes.
  • Detect recurring patterns and translate these into concrete recommendations for product and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and other stakeholders to implement structural improvements.
  • Share knowledge and insights by training and supporting colleagues in analysing complex technical issues.
  • Actively contribute to improving team processes and the wider Business Team Milking organisation.
  • Work across different disciplines and contribute to projects focused on testing and validating new solutions.

What is your experience?

You are energised by solving complex technical challenges and naturally curious about how things work. You can easily switch between analytical thinking and collaboration, take ownership of your work, and proactively engage with colleagues and stakeholders to find the best solutions. You communicate clearly and can explain complex information in a way that different audiences can understand.

In addition, you bring:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, such as Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A broad interest in technology and a desire to explore different domains, including software, hardware, and process optimisation.
  • Some experience in a project-based environment, gained through internships, traineeships, or professional work experience.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders in an international environment.
  • A passion for analysing problems, developing solutions, and working with teams across the globe.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and dive deep into new topics to gain a thorough understanding.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
