About the fund

What Grants Are Available Under FETF 2025?

The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) is a substantial grant programme from the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) designed to support farmers across England.

The FETF 2025 is structured around three distinct grant themes, allowing you to focus your application on the areas most relevant to your operation:

  1. Productivity Grant: This stream supports a wide range of equipment aimed at improving the efficiency of your farming practices.
  2. Slurry Management Grant: Dedicated to helping you adopt better, more environmentally friendly ways to manage slurry.
  3. Animal Health and Welfare Grant: Focused on machinery and technology that directly benefits the health, comfort, and well-being of your livestock.

You can apply for grants across these three themes, with a minimum grant amount of £1,000 and a maximum of £25,000 for each theme. It’s important to note that the grant will typically cover a percentage of the item’s cost, usually around 40-50%, with the remaining portion being your contribution.

Please note that these grant amounts are indicative based on the current FETF guidelines and specifications. The actual grant amount you receive will be a percentage of the actual cost you pay for the item (if it's less than the average cost in the item lists) or a percentage of the average cost (if your item costs the same or more).

Lely introduces the Vector MFR Next: less work, more results

Maassluis, 18 March 2025 – Lely has launched the Vector MFR Next, the new mixing and feeding robot that takes robotic precision feeding to a higher level. The Vector MFR Next has a strong drive line and a frame with a loading capacity of up to 800kg. This provides a 35% increase in feed loading capacity compared to the previous generation, increasing the suitability for more farms. Front and rear lights provide extra visibility.
