Sustainable Farming Investment Scheme - Now Open for Applications
The Sustainable Farming Investment Scheme (SFIS) is a new capital grant from DAERA, helping Northern Ireland farmers invest in equipment that improves environmental performance, animal health and welfare, and overall farm efficiency.
Key details:
- Opens: 21 July 2026 – 3 September 2026
- Subsidy rate: 40% (up to a maximum of £25,000)
- Project size: £3,000 minimum – £62,500 maximum
- Total budget: £40 million
- Eligibility: Primary food producers (livestock, arable and horticulture) with a Category 1 Farm Business ID
- Assessment: Competitive ranking based on the average score of selected items
