Today, Lely reports its 2022 annual results: 15% growth with a total turnover of €702 million (2021: €611 million)

Lely is shocked by Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine. The Ukrainian people are in the midst of a war and face great uncertainty. Our thoughts are with the people directly affected by this crisis. Lely condemns Russia’s invasion and is immediately ceasing commercial activities in the region. This means that we will stop supplying robots to Russia and Belarus. We will continue to supply spare parts and consumables to our existing customers in these countries, considering that otherwise cow welfare and food supply in the region would be compromised.

Expanding activities increases the profitability of livestock farming
On the 1st of October 2021 the Lely Orbiter was installed at the Rotgans family farm in Hippolytushoef, the Netherlands. Reijer Rotgans is the fourth farmer to process milk via the automatic dairy processor. Using the ‘Mijn Melk' (My Milk) label, he now distributes dairy products straight from the farm to supermarkets and consumers. Rotgans has increased the value of the herd’s milk thanks to this innovation and is serving the growing consumer demand for local products.

Maassluis, 11 October 2021– Oculyze based in Wildau, Germany, is named as the winner of the second edition of ‘Feed the Future by Lely’. Lely is the leading supplier of robotics and data management for the dairy farm. In partnership with Rockstart - one of Europe’s first startup accelerators - Lely scouted the next generation of tech pioneers, who could innovate and improve the dairy industry with technology solutions.

In 2020, we launched the first concept for the fully autonomous harvesting and feeding of fresh grass: Lely Exos. This new way of feeding fresh grass is in continuing development Also this spring we have conducted comprehensive tests at various farms in order to learn as much as possible about the autonomous harvesting of fresh grass.
