A new dairy designed for future growth

Earlier this month, the Lely Australia team joined thousands of visitors and more than 700 exhibitors at the Elmore Field Days, held from 7 - 9 October 2025 in Victoria’s heartland.

Now in its 62nd year, the Elmore Field Days is one of Australia’s premier agricultural events.

For Lely Australia, it was a chance to connect directly with dairy families, showcase our newest Lely Astronaut A5 Next, automatic milk filter, and share how Lely’s automation can help make dairy farming more flexible and sustainable.

Engaging with families and farmers

Across the three days, the Lely team met with dairy farmers from all corners of Victoria, from those already using automation to others just starting to explore what robotic milking could mean for their business and farm life.

“We were thrilled by the number of people who stopped by to learn, ask questions, and share their own experiences,” said one Lely Australia team member.

The stand was also a hit with the younger crowd, as kids showed their interest in robots, and walked away smiling wearing their new Lely caps.

Showcasing the Future of Dairy

Visitors to the Lely stand were greeted by a full line-up of our dairy farming solution, from milking to feeding and manure cleaning.

At the centre stage was the Lely Astronaut A5 Next, our latest milking robot, designed to bring even greater efficiency and cow comfort. Alongside it, we also featured our Lely Juno automatic feed pusher and Lely Calm calf feeder, both designed to improve herd nutrition and support healthier growth of young calves.

Our Lely Discovery Collector, the next generation in automated manure cleaning, also captured plenty of attention. With its ability to maintain clean floors 24/7 by vacuuming the manure instead of pushing or scraping, the robot is a game-changer for both cow health and on-farm hygiene, saving water and labour.

Finally, our new automatic milk filter, another step forward in ensuring milk quality, also made its first appearance to Australian farmers.

We’d like to thank everyone who visited our stand, and to the dedicated organisers who make Elmore Field Days such a cherished event year after year. We can’t wait to see you again next year.
